Finding financial backing for a new business can be tough in this market, but thanks to Angel’s Den entrepreneurs can get advice and find potential investors all in one evening.
Speedfunding is a bit like speed dating, just that instead of meeting a love match, it’s a business relationship that you’re after. Each budding entrepreneur pitches their business idea in three minutes followed by a one-minute Q & A, before moving on to the next investor.
And it works. From the original test event, out of 24 companies who attended, 16 struck lucky and are now in talks with angels they met on the night, with one business already striking a deal.
