Case Study: Ashendon Recruitment Ltd.

BT Quantum case study - Ashendon Recruitment get a new phone system

Ashendon Recruitment improves call handling with new BT Quantum telephone system

Restricted by an older phone system

Communications options for ARL were restricted by its legacy telephone system. Steve Ravenhall, Financial Director with ARL explained that they wanted to take advantage of more big-business features to add to their professional image. As well as that, ARL were developing a European perspective to their business and were looking for a telephone system that would increase the company’s flexibility. BT Quantum was identified as the best solution for ARL, given its wide range of call-handling features and flexible working capabilities for remote teleworkers.

What is BT Quantum?

Specifically designed for businesses with up to 48 users, the BT Quantum is the latest in a long line of trusted business telephone systems from BT, offering unprecedented features previously only available in much larger and more expensive systems. BT Quantum offers one-touch access to more than 50 call handling features. It integrates telephony, messaging, email, conferencing, and other applications on a cost effective and easy-to-control IP-based platform. Wireless and remote teleworking is simple with BT Quantum so that staff can work whenever and wherever necessary.

As with most companies, effective communications play a fundamental role in the success of ARL’s business. BT Quantum improves the accuracy of call handling, reducing the time spent directing calls. Employees are always contactable and can work wherever they are, either from home or on the move, saving money on office space and travel costs. Employees can also access a whole range of communications from their desktops such as soft phone, instant messaging, SMS and conferencing, and they can make calls via broadband, for greater cost-effectiveness.

The result - a happy customer

Steve Ravenhall, Financial Director with ARL, praised the solution’s excellent call-handling features, saying that thanks to BT Quantum their business “looks professional and [BT Quantum] enables us to control communications and set parameters that suit our business and the way we work”.

With remote teleworkers in Eaton Bray, Bedfordshire and Palma, Spain, reducing the cost of communications with these sites was of the utmost importance to ARL. By using the BT Quantum remote extension capability, BT Quantum enabled these sites to be linked to the main office using BT Quantum IP phones, ensuring seamless call transfer regardless of who the caller is looking for and wherever they may be based.

Mr. Ravenhall of ARL was delighted with the solution,“The BT Quantum IP phones work amazingly well for our consultants in Spain. It’s great that they are connected to the main office like this”.

When asked what his favourite feature was, Mr Ravenhall emphasised that “being able to link people working in various areas” was an extremely useful feature for his business. He also commented on how easy it was to use the BT Quantum handsets with their “configurable screen menus and hot keys”. Overall Mr Ravenhall felt that BT Quantum was the perfect solution to their communications requirement and would highly recommend it to other small companies. He praised the system and was pleased that they had upgraded to the BT Quantum saying “the BT Quantum carries many more features and greater flexibility with modern handsets”.
