One in four IT workers would highly recommend their career to their children according to research from the IT Job Board and recruitment marketing agency Barkers.
The survey found that despite the redundancies in response to the credit crunch, parents in the IT sectors are still likely to promote the possibilities of working in IT.
Alex Farrell, managing director of The IT Job Board, told PersonnelToday: ‘The over-riding conclusion of the research is that the IT sector is perceived to be a rewarding industry in which to work.’
The research also found that many IT workers remain upbeat about their jobs with seven in 10 workers are expecting a pay increase within the next year.
