IT education needs to improve if the UK wants to increase numbers of highly skilled workers, industry experts have warned.
According to a report by technology trade association Intellect, the UK must improve its technology teaching if it is to compete with talents from China and India.
āIām worried that unless we have these entry-level jobs in the UK the real skills in project management will disappear and we will have to buy that in from India or China,ā warned Richard Holway of Farnham Consulting.
Currently, the technology sector needs more than 140,000 new entrants every year the slump in technology related education means that the UK cannot recruit enough people to fill the jobs.
