A quarter of entrepreneurs believe they didn’t get the support they needed when they started out.  Over half cite finance, tax and VAT as their biggest barriers, as well as increased administrative pressure and red tape.

With Small Business Week under way many are hoping to find solutions to some of these barriers, which are seriously impeding their growth. As well as providing small businesses with the information and advice they need to grow and perform to higher standards, it will illuminate just how much these unique ventures contribute to the British economy.

In this podcast, Mick Hegarty, director, BT Business, and Natalie Evans, head of policy, British Chamber of Commerce, look at Small Business Week and discuss the issues facing small business.
